An important ministry of our congregation is to extend Extravagant Welcome.
One of the activities of this particular Ministry is to Welcome visitors to our worship and into our fellowship. Part of that commitment is to also document contact information and refer our visitors into areas of their interest. Additionally, we plan and lead new member classes throughout the year.
There is a record keeping component too, as is necessary. Keeping attendance records, maintaining membership records for both our local church and national church.
Sharing and Caring is a wonderful part. It gives us a chance to celebrate the high moments in our members’ and friends’ lives, i.e., milestones in birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, parting good-byes, etc.
Gathering and organizing our history is a journey of discovery and joy as we delve into records, minutes, and papers from our past
As you can see, most of these activities can be managed with small numbers and the time schedules are flexible. Some require learning our membership program and if you have a knack for computers and reports – you may enjoy this. Filing may be the thing you who enjoy organization may desire. If you have an appreciation of history, digging through records and construction of a story may challenge you. Or organizing a celebration may just be up your alley. As you can see, the Membership Ministry is not without variety.
