Jenny Pickens - November 2021
We are so pleased to announce that native Ashevillian Jenny Pickens is exhibiting her art in the Oak Street Gallery for the entire month of November. Creating is Jenny’s passion whether it be elegant angel dolls or bold and dynamic acrylic paintings. She will be worshipping with us this Sunday and available to talk to members of the church in the gallery following services.
Jenny is offering us an exciting opportunity on Saturday, November 20th. She will assist 20 fortunate folks in creating their own amazing work of art. We are holding this workshop at the historic YMI Cultural Center at 29 Market Street in Asheville. Participants will take away their own creation perhaps to give as a Christmas gift. Jenny will supply all materials so come, have fun, and leave with you own piece of beautiful art. The cost is $45 and tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite (www.eventbrite.com) by searching for “Paint a Holiday Gift with Jenny Pickens”. This event is primarily for FCUCC members but we hopefully will also have some friends from the YMI attending -- and we want our members to have an opportunity to visit this historic Asheville building.
These are the other opportunities to view Jenny’s art: Every Sunday in November from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Tuesdays the 9th, 16th, and 30th from 3-6 (each Tuesday except Thanksgiving week) Saturday, Nov 13th from 3-6 PM. The dates highlighted in red are dates that you may come and talk one on one with Jenny.
