Andres Tam - May 2022
Andres Tam was born and raised in Mexico and currently resides in Leicester, NC. with his husband Klaus Engelhardt. He is a Graphic Designer by profession, with a passion for painting. As a Graphic Arts major, he completed numerous art courses at the University of the Americas in Puebla, Mexico, such as figure drawing, water colors, acrylics, and oil painting, as well as photography classes at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX.
Acrylics, metallic paint and water colors are the main mediums used in all of his painting. He has an art studio in his home, which is where most of his artwork is created. You can find him painting on Saturdays at the antique furniture store, Sunnyside Trading Company, where he has recently found inspiration among the items imported from China, Thailand, India and other Asian countries. His most recent works are primarily images of Indian and Thai culture and folk art.
Andres plans to open his own art gallery in the near future, but for now, his artwork can be found in his Instagram account - andres.tam and his work can be purchased online on Etsy (Bantamdesigns)
