Laundry Love seeks to bring economic relief by providing free laundromat services, giving the individual or family the option to redirect funds toward food, medical, gas or transportation costs, as well as school supplies and other basic, everyday necessities.
Our local branch of Laundry Love was started by members of First Congregational UCC and our youth regularly volunteer to help.
On the last Sunday of the month, we start out at Beloved House to visit with their community, share a meal or pack a lunch and then we head over to Fiesta Laundromat on Merrimon Ave. The youth pass out coins, detergent and dryer sheets. Then, they hang out, have fun, and visit with the folks who come in.
We are so grateful to the congregation at FCUCC for supporting this project and look forward to the future of Laundry Love.
