Worship 10:30am Sept. - May and 10:00am June - Aug.
Worship is the heart of our life together, and we try to make it dynamic and relevant. While we follow a familiar liturgical rhythm, our worship is more informal and uses a variety of styles and traditions -- we seek to hear many different voices in our liturgy and preaching.
We are committed to the use of expansive language in which many images and names are used for God. We use visual art in our sanctuary to help create the context for worship, and we incorporate dance, music, and storytelling to bring energy and life to our service.
In all we do, we hope to experience the presence of God in our midst. Sunday morning service begins at 10:30 a.m.
Christian Formation
One of the greatest priorities at FCUCC is Christian formation or education. We are formed, transformed, and reformed by all that we encounter in this faith community.
We understand Christian formation to be grounded in the central themes of our faith, affirming and drawing on each individual's natural capacity for wonder, awe, and joy. We grow in discipleship through a varity of classes for children, youth and adults; thru covenant groups, and service activities. These opportunities attend faithfully to biblical narratives, explore our individual and collective identity in Christ, and echo the biblical call to justice and peace.
It is our hope that, through Christian formation, we help one another learn to walk in the footsteps of Jesus, both in what we say and in how we live. We have classes on Sunday morning for children and adults beginning at 9:15 a.m. Nursery care is available starting at 9:00 a.m.
