The FCUCC Earth Team reminds us to buy or grow more local food. This saves petroleum products necessary to transport food from other states or other countries, since most food items on American tables travel an average of 1500 miles. Growing your own food also produces fresh, wholesome fruits and vegetables, and promotes a fun experience for the whole family.

If you have never grown a garden or you need answers for gardening questions, check out the Resources page for some weblinks to more information.
